MOOSE SILENT AUCTION
There will be Silent
Auction held in the Moose Social Quarters, on September 12 during the Iowa\Iowa
State Game. It will be held from 3pm to 8pm. The proceeds will go towards new
banquet round tables and chairs for the Great Room. We are looking for items to
Auction off (can be baskets of fun items, gift certificates, sports
paraphilia). Think of something that you would want to bid on. We always have a
lot of fun items to bid on. You just never know what kind of good deal you might
take home with ya. We are also looking for people to bid on these items. So
come out and join us, have dinner and a few drinks and try to outbid someone. Some
people make it a fun competition!!! Mark
your calendar with this date.
MOOSEHEART HOMECOMING & FOOD FUNDRAISER It’s that time of year, where we ask all you Moosers to
donate food items for the home of Iowa-Eastern Nebraska at Mooseheart. They
house growing teenage boys who play a lot of school sports. So of course the number 1 item on the list is
Gatorade or a variation of it. Other items are peanut butter, cereal, protein
bars, canned vegetable, bbq beans, boxed macaroni cheese, chips, skinny
popcorn, crackers, sweet treats, sports bars, etc. Just bring the food items or
cash to the Moose there will be a bin for the food. If you want to give cash,
please give it to Keith or Christine Garling. And they will shop for you. We will take the food items to them on
Mooseheart Homecoming. When we show up with the food you will see smiles all
around. They love to help to unload so they can scout out what all we have
brought. It is really a wonderful feeling. I urge anyone who can to go to
Mooseheart September 19th. We usually start unloading at 9am. And stay for the homecoming football game
which is at 1pm. Thank you for your generosity.
Contact Janet Enderle if you are interested in going to
Mooseheart and may need a ride. They are trying to get enough people to rent a
van or bus or to just carloads together.
